Museum members receive free general admission. Plan to allow a minimum of one hour for your visit. Volunteer docents are on hand to welcome you and share the history of the building and collection — or you’re welcome to explore at your own pace.
Private & Group Tours
Group tours, school field trips, and specialty tours are available by advance appointment. Contact us at (765) 742-6449 (Tuesday–Friday, 10 AM–4 PM) or submit a request at thehaan.org.
Membership
Members enjoy free admission, invitations to exclusive events, program discounts, and early registration access. Membership starts at $25 (student) and $50 (individual). Premium levels include NARM and ROAM reciprocal access to 1,400+ museums. Learn more at thehaan.org/membership.
Location & Directions
920 State Street, Lafayette, IN 47905Located in Lafayette’s Ninth Street Historic District, near the intersection of 9th and State Streets. Approximately 60 miles northwest of Indianapolis and 125 miles southeast of Chicago. Street parking is available at the museum, and in the surrounding neighborhood.
Accessibility
The Haan Museum is committed to welcoming all visitors. The historic mansion features an accessibility ramp at the main entrance and an elevator rated for up to 750 lbs. The Sculpture Garden path is fully wheelchair accessible. For specific accessibility questions, call (765) 742-6449.

What are the hours?
The museum is open Wednesday–Saturday, 1:00–4:00 PM. The Sculpture Garden is open daily, dawn to dusk.
How much does it cost to visit the Haan Museum?
Adult admission is $12. Youth admission (ages 5–17) is $6. Children under 5 are free. Members visit free.
Is parking available?
Parking is available at the museum. In addition, street parking is available along State Street and surrounding blocks in the Ninth Street Historic District.
Is the museum accessible?
Yes. The mansion has an accessible entrance ramp and elevator. The Sculpture Garden path is wheelchair accessible.
Are pets allowed?
Leashed dogs are welcome on the grounds and in the Sculpture Garden. Pets, including fur, feathers or fins, are not permitted inside the museum. Please note that The Haan Museum has a carry in/ carry out policy, with no available trash cans for public use. Please pick up/ carry out after your dogs.
Can I book a group or private tour?

Can I picnic on the museum grounds?
Yes —you may enjoy the museum grounds and sculpture park. There are a limited number of picnic tables and benches. Please note that The Haan Museum has a carry in/ carry out policy, with no available trash cans for public use.
Museum & Grounds Rules
No smoking, vaping, or illegal drugs on museum property. Shirt and shoes required. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. No firearms unless part of an exhibit or permitted by law. No skateboards or motorized scooters.
Please note, for the safety of our visitors and security of our facility, there are cameras in the museum and on museum grounds. Anyone damaging museum property will be asked to leave and may face legal action.
