Collections and Program Manager

Julie Alexander has over a decade of experience as an educator and program leader in visual arts organizations, including schools and non-profit organizations. This includes experience managing programs and teaching in Cuzco, Perú, Boquete, Panamá, New York City, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her interests in this realm stem from a belief that arts engagement provides rich opportunities for emotional expression and fosters creativity and an appreciation for beauty and aesthetics. Julie is motivated and inspired by the enrichment the Haan Museum of Indiana Art provides in the community, and she is excited about programs that bring the diverse works of art in collections and exhibitions to the forefront of engagement to demonstrate the rich history, skill, talent, and beauty the Haan reflects and contributes. Julie earned her Bachelor’s degree at Columbia University in New York City, and completed her Master’s degree at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
